Since its inception in 1970, the focus for Moon & Hines, LLC (M&H) has been prospecting and developing oil resources across the deep South.  The two members each brought essential skills that made the company successful - E.R. Hines as an expert geologist, and Robert Moon as a deeply experienced landman.

These qualities combined to create a very successful oil company that thrives to this day - geological expertise, sound acquisition and divestiture practices, and expert development financing are the hallmarks of Moon & Hines, LLC.

In 1981, Moon-Hines-Tigrett (MHT) was formed to drill, complete and maintain well operations, and Moon & Hines moved into a role that focused on exploration and development of prospects.  While Moon & Hines primarily serves MHT, they also provide prospect screening and geological services to a wide base of clients across the southeast.
